The Captain of the Maasai Cricket Warriors (MCW) Sonyanga Ole Ngais is now back in Kenya from UK where he went to celebrate the premiere screening of the long-awaited Warriors film. Warriors film is a documentary about the MCW dream of playing cricket at The Lords in UK with intent to elevate awareness of their social messages.
MCW are working towards a female genital mutilation free Maasailand.
The amateur cricket team is promoting equal respect and recognition between Maasai boy child and girl child with reforms that removes social cultural and economic sanctions that prevent their sisters from enjoying their human dignity as provided to them by natural law and by the law of the land.
The MCW believes that this documentary will be a milestone in their awareness campaign since it will energise their abilities towards these reforms. The Captain, who also founded the Maasai Cricket Ladies (MCL) will without delay begin to prepare the ground for this emancipatory process of Il-laikipiak Maasai girls empowerment through sports.
We will share information and updates about the founding of MCL with all our followers and supporters in due time.
